Efficiency News and Publications

Earlier this week I wrote about the importance of keeping up to date on industry- and prospect-specific news and trends. Having these insights allows you to custom-tailor your value proposition when you approach a new prospect. While it’s crucial that you take the time to read and research before each new sales opportunity, it’s also important that you dedicate some time on a regular basis to keeping up with the energy efficiency industry.
New research, reports, news stories, and case studies can spark new business ideas and empower you with tools to use when meeting with new prospects. I’m sure many of you already make an effort to stay up to date on energy efficiency news and publications, but for those of you who don’t, I highly recommend checking out the resources section of the “Alliance to Save Energy” website. This site is updated several times a week with new blogs, case studies, articles, media releases, and more. And the best part is that you can sort by “Resource Type” and search for keywords, so if you are looking for something specific, you can easily find out if it’s available.
Here’s a link to the resource section of the ASE site: http://www.ase.org/resources
Bonus tip: If you want to know EVERY piece of new energy efficiency news, set a Google Alert for the keyword “Energy Efficiency” – it may provide more content than you can realistically consume, but it affords you the opportunity to quickly scan article titles for interesting and relevant industry news.
